Animation in Art
This popular course is suitable for any teacher who has a basic competence with a computer, and wants to learn some simple animation techniques. Its context is using Animation in Art lessons.
Another variant of this course is for primary teachers who want quick and simple techniques.

You will spend time on a number of projects which you will be able to continue at school/home with simple software [often supplied by me] on a PC or Mac [only Macs with PC simulation !].

Animation  techniques will cover:
 * stop motion and pixillation with camera - using Monkeyjam
  * graphic animation - using Serif Drawplus
 * Video- rendered animation - using Virtual Dub

The context of this Animation is the Art department - encouraging students to express their artistic ideas in a modern medium.

You will need to bring a working laptop and I will supply some software, a CDRom with examples and a descriptive booklet. You may want to bring a digital camera or your own web camera if you have one. Certainly bring a memory stick to save your work. You might want to bring pens/pencils, scissors, some card and some magazines / images / objects to animate.

Software to be used -  freeware could be pre-installed by your technician, but I will supply it on the day [if you have password permissions for your laptop]. Commercial software will be demonstrated on my laptops - [try before you buy].
